I read somewhere that it was dangerous to reuse candle jars after they burn out. Once you clean out the wax, and perhaps run the jars through a dishwasher, is it alrightto reuse it again to save money and time? just making sure.

I think that it depends upon what you are going to put in the jars. If you put in another candle, be aware that the heat of the new candle may exceed the heat threshold of the jar and cause it to crack. I would advise against eating or drinking out of a candle jar -- oils and whatnot may still be in there... and may get into your food/drink. If I reuse a candle jar, I use a tea-light candle to make sure that the glass will not overheat and crack.

I make my own candles, burn them and reuse the jar to make more and have never had a problem.

Yes perfectly safe to reuse. I used mine for crayons and stuff and now I still use empty coffee cans and those big containers the chocolate nesquick powder comes in and other tins and such. My boys think they make good drums plus they like that i can put their art supplies in there to take with us places.
