Okay I just asked a question, but I want to clear it up. When I went for an ultrasound at 17 weeks, my ob/gyn said she thought it was a girl but wasnt sure. Today, I went for another ultrasound at 21 weeks and the tech said she was 90% sure that it was a girl. The baby was moving around and she said she could see the 3 lines ( that would make it a baby girl ) She looked at the baby for 45 minutes and never once saw anything that made her think it could be a boy. I'm asking if anyone else has had a baby girl and how accurate were your ultrasounds?

YEAH your having a girl!!!! I don't remember with my daughter exactly how far along I was when they told my that she was a girl but my ultrasound was 100% accurate because she's a girl. By now if the baby was a boy then his testes would have already dropped ou tog his abdomen. I was told that this baby is a boy at fourteen weeks but I have an anatomy ultrasound scheduled next week. So I'm gonna make sure that the baby isn't a girl and just had her fingers down there. Ha hahahaha. Definitely a boy he wanted us to all know what he was packing.

Good Luck and have fun with all the pink and purple stuff.

I just had an ultrasound done this past week( I was 20 weeks) and it was clear that the baby was boy, you could see his penis very clearly and they even printed out the picture for me to take home. If they were in the right area and the baby was in the right position and they said it was a girl then they are most likely right. I have heard of people that were told girl and had a boy but not the other way around. Good Luck!

I think when they say its a boy they are 100% correct because they see the baby boys penis. I have had 2 girls and saw the 3 lines as they told me and they were 100% right. Even though i was prepared for girls and believed they were girls there was still a 1% doubt in my mind, what if they were wrong or what if they just couldn't see the "boy part" however they were right!

My was really accurate, we saw the 3 lines.

We were able to confirm around 26 weeks that it was a girl for sure.

My ultrasounds were very accurate,... I have a girl and two boys, and with the twin boys, you could see their little penis sticking up which was distinctively different from my daughters ultrasound.

mine were accurate. but I've heard the horror stories. Where they say, oh its a boy and they find out when they deliver it was actually a girl. Just be cautious. Don't depend to much on the sex of the baby, but the health of it.

They are very accurate, but doctors will hardly ever say 100% for sure, because then what if they are wrong? Someone would probably sue them!
