Ration vs. feeling.
I only ask it because I see it keep coming up in Yahoo. The trend is getting pervasive. So I'm putting the question.

I'm not pretending.
I'm NOT 'a conservative'. I only hold some 'conservative' attitudes on a few VERY specific things.
That doesn't qualify me to drink the koolade.

To disprove this, watch the 2004 debates. Kerry had facts at his command and remained cool and controlled. Bush was so unaccustomed to not having a room full of ***-lickers that he became peevish and defensive, even talking to himself ('let me finish!').

The rank and file of both parties contain ordinary human beings who are both rational and non rational. However, one party's elite is more self interested, more incompetent and dirtier than the other.

A whole hell of a lot of genralizing is going on.I believe abortion is up to the person and being gay is no big deal.And I am not with any church so dose that make me a demo? Hell no! I vote Republican because there are still other issues on that side I agree more with!

1/2 right. Reps are rational, Dems are the opposite of Reps but that's not touchy feely, it irrational.

you mean all those rational Republican arguments of calling everyone "terrorist" and "un-American"... when they can't defend their posts?
and the "rational" argument of "just because Iraq is in the middle east and those that attacked us were from the middle east... they must have had something to do with it"
both sides are very emotive and not very rational... the Republicans just seem to be mostly angry when they show their emotions...
