Your point is well taken. Thanks for the reminder to everyone that not all terrorists are Muslim. I've been to Northern Ireland and can attest to that form of terrorism by the Protestant and Catholic paramilitaries...

I do not know anyone that would say that ALL Muslims are terrorists. However, in today's heated and violent environment in the middle east it is not hard to see why some would.
If you look through history there are times that almost any culture has resorted to acts that are less than humanitarian. You go on at length about the Irish, ok, there is a martial provost wing of the Sinn Fien, the IRA. While some will say the IRA are terrorist, you may be hard pressed to find an Irishman who will agree.
The same can be said for fighters in Latin America, Philippines, China and South East Asia, and all over Africa. "Terrorist" groups could be just about anywhere.
But there is a way to tell a terrorist from a rebel or a freedom fighter. Let me propose this question: When was the last time a rebel or freedom fighter or legitimate army wore masks? The one thing most terrorists have in common is that they wear masks to hide their identity. Why? Because they know they are wrong.
So now you have the key to know who are terrorists and who are fighting for a cause they deem just. If they wear masks, they are terrorist. And there are a lot of Muslims wearing masks right now.

I think the first thing people should do is not catagorize terrorism with any religion. Terrorism has been used for thousands of years. The reason Islam and terrorism are seen together is because since 9/11, you couldnt turn on a media channel without hearing the two in the same sentence, if 9/11 hadnt happened, and no news media reported of Islamic Terrorist (using both words together) over and over again, than you would say "what is islam?" For those people who go around saying Muslims are terrorist, know that life is much worse for Muslims than before 9.11, and the media, and people who are accepting their views, are making it much harder for muslims to conform.

No not all terrorists are Muslim. So-called Christians have killed and will kill again in the name of God. Christian terrorists and Muslin terrorist are going to Hell do not pass go. The reason we hear more about the so-called Muslims is because they are very vocal on what they plan to do. They are planning to kill anyone that for any reason does not agree with them. The so-called Muslim terrorists believes that they and only they know the way to heaven and that they must kill everyone who disagrees with them The Christian terrorists are not near as vocal and most if not all of them are not using religion as an excuse for murder. The Irish catholics and the protestants are not using the excuse of religion, they are both saying that they have the right to rule. I BELIEVE THAT MOST MUSLIMS DO NOT WANT TO KILL EVERYONE WHO DISAGREES WITH THEIR REGILION ALL THEY WANT IS TO BE ABLE TO WORSHIP IN PEACE. MOST CATHOLICS AND MOST PROTESTANT DO NOT WANT TO KILL PEOPLE OF OTHER REGILIONS, THEY JUST WANT PEACE. TERRORISTS ARE NOT REGILIOUS PEOPLE THEY ARE MURDERERS AND THEY ARE GOING TO HELL. .

The whole religion of Muslim is to KILL KILL KILL anyone who is not muslim, just read their Koran (I have done studies on a Koran printed in English, can`t rememeber the exact name of the book sorry) So of course most of them ARE terrorist, nobody in their right mind can deny that. The "christian terrorists" that you mentioned obviously are not true Christians, however I don`t think Muslims are the ONLY terrorists, but they make up a large percentage of terrorists. You don`t see people like Saddam Husein (however you spell that) standing up for their beliefs though, do you? No, they go and hide, instructing other demon posessed idiots instead to sacrifice their own lives.
Did I read that right? No muslims are terrorists? What have YOU been smoking!?
I second what Darryl L said!

And this: From around 1980 to 1988, US backed Contras terrorized the population of Nicaragua specifically targeting what they called "soft" targets: day-care centres, schools, hospitals. Doctors and nurses, plantation workers were systematically tortured and mutilated by mercenaries trained by the CIA.
In my book, the CIA is the largest and most lethal terrorist organization in the world.

Nowhere does the Holy Quran recommend violence. Quran basically facilitates retaliation that too prefers forgiveness to retaliation. you have misinterpreted the Holy Quran. a real Muslim could forgive. to date as Jihad is worried a real Muslim could salary Jihad against the unseen enemies of Islam it quite is lack of expertise, Illeteracy, Backwardness, incorrect information etc. etc. As of immediately those are the worst enemies of Islam.
