...what your cooking for dinner, what you're ailing from and what your plans are?

Like "Oh wow! Chicken, bananas, french bread and tampons...I wish I were coming to your house for dinner!"

I really don't like it.

I don't like it either. Then they get to the tampons and they are silent. :)

I use to be a cashier. I never liked it when they did it to me, so I did not try to guess someone's dinner , unless the customer said something. What I did get out of it though was great ideas for dinner. What ever struck my fancy that day, is what I bought to make for dinner. That was the benefit.

Yes it's soooo annoying!!! I used to be a cashier and I use to try and guess but I never said it out loud that's just plain embarrasing like oh I don't have anything better to do with my time than guess what random strangers are making for dinner lol!

Yes, that is definitely annoying. What I hate is when I'm buying condoms and the cashier looks at me like I'm scum of the earth. I don't see anything disgusting about having safe sex.

I never had that happen. I wouldn't mind. I like to chat briefly with the check out person. Sometimes they do give me ideas about what to make for supper when I got nuthin' in my head to make.

I hate it. I wonder what they would say to someone that only bought prune juice & a package of toilet paper.

yes, I think it is rude of a clerk to say a remark of what you buy. it is none of the clerks business of what one buys.

I find it funny when it is to other people sometimes when I see abandoned carts I throw EXTRA large condoms or EXTRA small condom boxes in peoples carts
