Rocky Horror Picture Show has been running in Major cities as a midnight movie with audience members coming dressed as the characters for over 35 years. Easy win and no other show or movie even comes close. The original Star Trek on TV would be a distant second - but far far ahead of anything else. Even Twin Peaks. Sorry, But dems da faks. LOL

Twin Peaks had a lot of followers. X Files too. For movies, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, even if is not ageing well.
The Munster family had a revival in the eighties and became a cult classic.

I'm going with the Rocky Horror Picture Show as the greatest cult film.

I totally agree with you; Avatar the Last Airbender was one of the best series I have ever watched...but The Last Airbender was seriously lacking when it came to characters' personalities (In my opinion). Green Lantern in the comic books and in the show Justice League was awesome, however, Green Lantern the movie seemed to lack the any awesomeness. The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo is a nice novel, and Disney did it justice (and more!) by making it into an amazing, meaningful, and symbolism-filled movie. That is why it is my favorite Disney movie. :) Also, (I don't know if this counts but) Roger's and Hammerstein's Cinderella (the one with Brandy and Whitney Houston) was a very nice remake of the original Cinderella produced in the 50s, I think. One of my favorite movies ever :)

Gotta be Twin Peaks. David Lynch is the man! Oh, and Kyle Mclauchlin was awesome too.

Does 4400 count? I dig that show and I miss it pretty well.
I was going to say Alias but that show blew right up, everyone was watching it after season 2 but, it started to go down hill after that. I think I was too young to really get into Twin Peeks at the time.

TV - "Twin Peaks"
Movie - "Repo Man" or "Dark Star"

I think the "cult" reference is being occasionally misunderstood here.
