you realize their character turns you off completely - they may be gorgeous on the outside but on the inside they're just not your type and you totally dislike how they think, how they behave (esp. if they appear arrogant or want to be superior to everyone, etc...)

have you had any similar experience

Never happens to me because I am only attracted to character. It doesn't matter how good someone looks I am not attracted until I know whats inside. I see beautiful women every day and acknowledge their beauty but as far as attraction. It comes from an indescribable feeling you get when you look into their eyes. Sometimes it is the one you do not want to be attracted to.

I don't find it sad it is part of life. The package on the outside does not necessarily mean the chewy center is good.

I have come across guys that physically aren't my "type" (not necessarily ugly just not the type of guy that usually catches my eye) and I start to get to know them and learn about their personality I become totally attracted to them physically as well as mentally. Their personality traits make their physical ones so much more appealing.

Like I said I don't find it sad. It is just a fact of life. Generally I find the most attractive people to be the most arrogant or superior. This is because they are use to people fawning over them and treating them like they are hot stuff. There is nothing sexier than a humble man with a sense or humor.

Yeah, I can relate. I once met this guy and I have to say that he wasn't all that good looking but I honestly thought he was a decent guy. Once we dated, his true self came out. He turned out to be a messed up individual that I believe should not have been on this earth in the first place....live and learn I guess.
I hate to say this but I hope I never see him ever again because he will surely be in jail when my husband and I are done with him.

An ugly person inside a beautiful body! What an irony!

This reminds me of a story I read recently. A leper. His body was ugly. But inside that ugly body he had a beautiful mind. See the link below.

Thats why i don't like to judge on first impressions because it maybe something opposite of what you expected. Unfortunately, many individuals of our generation go for the looks rather than the character.

I don't think it's sad. It's just the way things are. Some people are good looking and nice, some are good looking and mean, some are not so good looking and nice, some are not so good looking and mean. And everything in between.
There's always OTHER people out there.

Yes, I've had this experience a few times. Shows how we can't trust "instant attraction." It has never made me sad, just feel lucky I didn't get way involved.

It's disappointing to be sure;however, it also shows that you have a great deal of depth and can see beneath the facade. And that's something to celebrate in yourself!

I did .. but why sad ?

They are harming their ownselves this way .. you shouldn`t build any theories about someone before getting close enough to judge !!!
