I took my car in to get the Serpentine Belt replaced. I picked it up and while driving home my "check engine" light came on. I brought it back to the mechanic. It turned out they had accidentally disconnected a vacuum hose and the leak triggered my engine light. They fixed the problem right away. I drove about 3-4 miles with this leak. Should I be worried about any potential damage from that temporary leak?

I would say no. It was corrected right away. These things somtimes happen. And that is what the warning light is for. Good job.

nope, if it was only a vacuum that was disconnected for awhile and put it back on then it will be just fine...
