Look under the hood for a white label, usually on bottom of hood or on top of radiator near front of eng.

or you could just call a parts store and say "yes I need the spark plug gap for a '92 Buick LeSabre w/ a 3.8L eng. please."

If it's gapped wrong, the engine will run like crap. it'll skip and stumble.

Look on the sticker under the hood or on the inside of the hood on your car. The sticker can also be located on top of the radiator or strut tower.
It will tell you the engine size and model,And have what the spark plug gap and possible correct timing numbers should be.

try .6
if no gap car will not run
if gap to small it will run ok but lose power at all gears
if gap to big it will run but find it hard to run at low rpm but up high rpm will run very good

but
it could over heat
will eat more fuel
and hard starting

so if you get if wrong you can always test drive it and adjust again another day if worst comes to worse if the gap to big and drive for a while and the coil or ht leads are tired they will fail quickly and car will start playing up but easy fix

have fun i always run a bigger gap becasue i like the power at high rpm i cont care about the fuel
