Nope- my picture was clear as day and he still only gave me a 95%. They make mistakes too.

They can't be completely sure, especially when they suspect a girl, since they were looking for a penis. Your technician saw the baby's legs and nothing between them, so is assuming it's a girl. Sometimes boys can be sneaky, though, and not give the ultrasound technician exactly the right angle to be sure. Boys are more of a sure prediction, since when they show themselves it's usually pretty obvious there is a penis there. Congratulations and good luck!

First of all, congrats on the baby girl. I have 2 and you're in for it!! :)
My dr won't tell you unless he's 100% sure. With my 2nd he wouldn't tell me the with the first u/s because he was only 90% sure, so we did a second one a month later and he was 100% then. He's only been wrong 3 times in 20+ years. So my answer would be, yes, they can be 100% sure.

There is no way for them to know 100%. An ultrasound is pretty much an educated guess, but a guess none the less. When my sister was pregnant they were pretty sure it was a boy.... and oh boy were we all surprised when it came out a girl. I'd say stick with your gut instinct, and if that goes along with it then I'd say its a girl.
Congrats!!!

They're maybe 100 % sure as you get further along..I'm having a baby girl, also. But it's never too late for them to develop. Pray that you don't get a room full of pink and then the baby turn out to be a boy.

Yes. My sister had an ultra sound done. The doctor gave her a 75% that it was a boy. Then the next one, he said that there was a 80% that it was a girl. She went in for another one and the doctor said that there was a 100% that it was a boy. The doctor said that unless they said 100%, not to grantee that it will be what they say.

They can be 100% sure with amniocentisis but not with ultrasound. The receptionist at my office decorated her nursery in white eyelet and pink gingham and had a boy. But they were right with my two boys.

They may be 99% sure if they see that it's a boy, but not if it's a girl. The reason is that a girl may still develop into a boy, depending on how far you are in your pregnancy.
Congrats!! Good Luck with motherhood!!
