My friend has suddenly become obsessed with where to go to university, and as I was hoping to study in Russia, I just needed a few ideas to look closer into. Any answer appreciated!

That would all depend on on you would like to study. Moscow M.V. Lomonosov State University, St. Petersburg State University, Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) and Novosibirsk State University are all very good schools.

But a word of advice: Look into the places the universities are located before you choose a university--find both the positive and the negative aspects. Then choose which place you think you would have a better time in... You will be seeing it a lot, even if only for one semester.

I have heard.. HEARSAY ONLY.. that the University at St. Petersburg is GREAT... I do not know from experience though
