i would like to purchase an mpv ive looked about at a few makes and models and i am considering either the vauxhall safira, the peugeot 307 sw 7 seater, or a renault scenic 1.6,
i want some honest proffesional advice for which is the better one to go for, or if there is any other make i should consider, but i am on a strict maximum budget of about £5000-£6000
so please dont go sudgesting really expensive cars, whilst they may be very good and reliable not financialy viable in my situation.
all recommendations will be appreciated.
thanks

We are on our second Citroen Picasso and I have recommended them to a number of people. We have got the 1.9HD diesel and since we have had ours it has given 44m.p.g. (The last one gave 47m.p.g. over three years). It is comfortable and in neither of them have we had any problems. I have read owners reviews of other cars and the Renault range does appear to be troublesome, a view echoed by "Which" magazine.

for mechanical reliability a peugeot, second best of your choices would be renault! ( sorry vauxhall!)
