Love Vegas...New Orleans is awesome too...blackjack is great for beginners, but craps is the way to go.
Ever try betting the ponies? 2 dollar bets all day and in the right casino they'll bring you drinks...just remember booze and gambling don't mix.
Cesar Palace Sports Book is heaven on Earth! and the Casio is awesome...for a beginner, try Slots of Fun next to Circus Circus...i swear you have to puke on the table to get kicked out and they are super friendly to beginners...plus they have a craps table 1/2 outside on the strip.

i was just in vegas last week for a convention & gambled a little ($50 total) & won over $200 - this was the 1st time in my life that i have ever been in a casino - i played the slots

I don't gamble for various reasons. It's like giving your money away, it wastes hours of time that could be used for better pursuits, it's addictive, your hands get filthy dirty, half the patrons are drunk or obnoxious, and I have friends who had to declare bankruptcy after they maxed out their credit cards, obtained loans, hocked their valuable items, etc. - all to get money for gambling. Gambling is not quite the sport I want to be involved with!

I play the markets. I don't really day trade, but I do a lot of short trading.
The nice thing about stock markets is that the odds are stacked in your favor. Almost any stock will bring with it a profit if you hold it long enough.

No I'm not a gambler. Now I'll make a friendly bet on the super bowl or something like that but a bet for me is like dinner or drinks.
