Well, there is a 'Hell' in the USA and it really does freeze over!
Here in the UK I like Piddletrenthide, Puddletown and Fugglestone Red - all down in Dorest.
There are also the Wallops - Nether Wallop, Greater Wallop and Little Wallop.
I love looking on the map and just finding the oddest names. There is Marden Cowbag in Wiltshire (Marden means windy by the way!) and Catbrain. Nonesuch is just up the road and my parents live in Nolands.
I find Slough an unfortunate name but Staines really gets my vote.

Just to keep it clean for a moment, there's a Normal in Illinois - which really just shows a lack of imagination and leads to a whole load of silly spin off names: Normal University, Normal Theater and the Normal Sheriff's Office all spring to mind.
And now to get back to the smut: Lickfold in West Sussex and Rimswell in East Yorkshire are both delightfully descriptive!

Ugley, and there was even an Ugley woman's institute.
Check it out its just north of Bishops Stortford in the UK, and its right next to Maggots End and Ugley Green
