ok - sonyericson w850i good camera 2meg,video recorder, radio with RDS, mp3 player with memory card holds hundreds of songs, internet, bluetooth and lots more, usualy free on contract.

I think there are probably loads of good ones but I bought one yesterday and it seems pretty good. Its a Samsung E900 and costs £150, if you buy it from an O2 shop on pay as you go. Its touch screen sensitive and has MP3 player, high quality camera, internet and all the other main features that come with a phone. It also looks really nice aswell:) Its also a fairly recent model. I'm not sure what other phones to recommend because obviously there are so many but I do recommed getting a Samsung because everyone in my family has one and my previous phone was also a Samsung and they seem to be really well made, look good:) and the batteries last a long time.

It really depends on what you want out of your phone and how much you are willing to pay. I just got a new phone, 3.2 megapixel camera, [sony ericsson k800i] really is fantastic. If you want a walkman phone, you could get that one which is out now [w850i], however there is a new walkman phone coming out at the end of this month which is touchscreen yet doesn't have a camera[w950i]. You could get a Samsung D900i, really is a good phone. I would advise you not to a get a motorola as these have a high rate of breaking, and there always seems to be a fault with them after a while. If you need a phone for business then choose a blackberry phone, you can email and everything. Or get the song Ericsson p990i. All the phones i have mentioned above are only on contract at the moment. But if don't want a phone on contract you can wait a while or get a cheaper phone like the samsung D600i, or sony Ericson K750i.

What carrier? Different carriers offer different phones. Some phones can be switched between carriers, but some cannot. You're much better off deciding what CARRIER you want to go with, then choosing your phone from there. If your carrier sucks, it doesn't matter how cool your phone is; you just bought a $300 paperweight.
I would tell you to steer clear of the RAZR at all costs. It's a piece of crap, and it lasts about a half year before it starts to develop crazy problems. They're returned with problem all the time.
Also, don't get a Q. They're awful as well.
A great reference is www.phonescoop.com. It will break all of the phones up into either manufacturer (LG, Motorola, Samsung) or cell phone provider (Verizon, Cingular, Alltel, Sprint, T-Mobile). It has user reviews of all of the phones, and it allows side by side comparisons.

ive got a smsung d600 and the tunes on it are excellent quality its easy to use and takes good videos and photos too.its the best phone ive had so far

try a razor phone since it is kind of old. With a open contract you can get it real cheap.And it's stylish

depends what you want..........i would recommend the Motorola Q its on sale for $99.99 from Verizon. I would also recommend Verizon as your carrier.
