My wife has just given birth to our first child, a beautiful baby girl! The problem is we were told by the doctor that it was gonna be a boy(Apparently he mistook her over extended clitoris for a penis!!) We have got everything we needed for a baby boy, including the name. With the help of yahoo answerer's we decided on Ivor Ichi Lard Jenas, which I loved but now we are back to square 1. The friend who originally suggested the name has come up with what I think is a beautiful name, obviously Ivor and Ichi had to go but we have decided to keep Lard because we think it is a unisex name, so, what do you good people think of May Ophelia Lard Jenas?

I dont like that name because when you pick a name you do have to think about the future. Is that name something that can be made into a joke? Can it rhyme with something that will be hurtful to your child? If they do make it through childhood with minimal teasing is it a name that will take them into adulthood and get tehm positive acknowledment from employers, etc. The May Ophelia isnt too bad its the Lard Jenas. Its obvious that the first nickname is going to something in reference to Large Penis because thats what name sounds like when you say it out loud. Also really- Lard- if your child would have a weight problem you are just thowing them to the wolves with the name Lard.

May and Ophelia are lovely, but Lard? You can't be serious. Do you actually know what lard is? It is animal fat ie dripping. Not a very nice name to give your first child! If you really need a third name what about something more traditional. Kids often grow up and dislike their first name and prefer to use their middle name, in case this happens for your daughter it would be a good idea to give her a good choice, so I would suggest going with something traditional and vanilla for at least one of the names, like Mary, Elizabeth, Jane, Margaret and so on.
As this is your first time naming your child a word of caution - be very, very careful about what the initials may spell out, spoonerisms etc. Don't be like Brad Pitt who called his child Shilo - spoonerise it and it sounds like Pile of ****.
Good luck with your new baby.

it's ok, long, but ok. i would make jenas the first name though at least. the other names are either in American Revolution times, or are just weird and creepy. NO LARD!!!

Does it make you so sad when you spend all of this time concocting an elaborate story and so many people totally miss the joke? Seriously, folks, read the names out loud, several times if necessary. This clown does NOT need advice on how to redecorate a baby's nursery!
