Me and my brother are raised be two lesbians, whom I call mom. And guess what? We're fine, we're completely normal and there's nothing wrong with us, I don't have an eating disorder and Shane doesn't have a negative impression on the world because he doesn't have a male influence, he plays sports, he hangs out with guys, he does all the regular guy stuff. As for me I wear make up, I have a fashion sense, and I go out with boys. Sounds like every other teenager in the world to me. We used to live with an abusive couple, they would drink, the would smoke, they would cuss..and they would hit us. I am so glad that I was blessed enough to live with my moms, I've never been happier and I thank God that they found eachother. You all should stop trying to make gay people miserable like you, trying to stop them from getting married and adopting kids, it's pathetic, and I don't give a **** what "God" or the bible says, cuz I'm gonna tell you where you can shove that bible.

I love God, I just don't like it when people use him as an excuse for their homophobia.

OK, good for you. I'm a Christian, a Republican, and a married mother of 1. I however think that God is a God of love. i believe that he loves all his creations... whether fat or thin, short or tall, gay or not. I'm not sure who is telling you these things but they sure don't sound like Christians.... they must be mistaken. I would be proud to have a "gay" loving couple raise my daughter if myself or my husband was not able to. I believe that gay couples should be encouraged to adopt children , if that's what they want to do, as they would be able to provide a better life for an underprivileged child that my not be able to have one. Don't listen to people who spew hateful words... it's not worth your time or efforts. I hope it helps to realize that all people are not like these haters... and maybe some day in the future everyone will come to feel the way we feel. (all we can do is pray)

The reason for so much hatred against gays, is the fact that so many people are ignorant and don't know and refuse to know anyone that is gay. If everyone knew someone that was gay, I'm positive that there wouldn't be any hatred towards them. It is a sad part of human nature all the hate we have. Hopefully one day we will all understand eachother.

Star, I'm glad for you and your brother. However you don't need to be angry all the time about it. Yeah, people will judge and sometimes you get sick of that. However as you and your brother have proved, the proof is in the pudding i.e 2 kids have been raised by a same sex couple and managed to go on to find happiness and success.

I think it a wonderful thing that the way you are being raised, It's a great thing, if everyone is happy, that is all that matters. Gay people are special in so many ways, they make wonderful parents, so if anyone says anything rude to you in any way, tell them to shove it!!

Amazing... people like you tell your stories and it STILL doesn't sink in with the "politically conservative family values" crowd. That's unfortunate... your story completely validates the current stance of the psychological and sociological communities which is that same sex parents can be and ARE just as capable and qualified as opposite sex couples.

I have never in my life made fun of gays. They have as much right as the next person, and I am glad to know about you and your brother. That is all cool and good.
