An early seventies, late sixties look is to have dark eyes. Use BLACK eyeliner, shadow, and mascara, using contoruing and whatnot so you don't look like a racoon. Do a very pale face with very pink or tanned lips (your choice).
Another idea which is very seventies is a light blue eyeshadow on the lid going up to the eyebrow (but not all the way). Use alot of mascara but make the lashes in clumps so that from the outer corner of your eye it goes long clump, small clump, long clump, etc. /,/,/,/,
Do your cheeks very pink and the lips very pale.

Polyester fitted shirts with Biiig curved collars in bright patterns.
Safari suits
fitted jeans/trousers with flared hems( bell bottoms for the really adventurous)
If you want to look a bit harder:
Bay City Rollers get up: Denim jacket and denim flares with red tartan scarf,red tartan 3" round hem of flares, possibly red tartan jacket cuffs/pocket detail, a red/white T-shirt and a matching red tartan cap.
Don't forget the platform boots/shoes or old style trainers.

like a hippy you mean? wear your hair long and straight parted in the middle, and tie a band around your forhead over the hair.,...get some big flared jeans to look like bellbottoms....get a big peace sign necklace or belt with peace sign buckle. and wear some round John Lennon style sunglasses.

Rent a 70's movie like 'Jesuschrist Superstar' or 'Saturday night fever', etc. to get in the mood and get inspired. Plus I'm sure if you search in the internet you'll find lots, remember when you search to do it in 'images'!

polyester. big hair. flared pants. bright colors. try thrift stores after you get some ideas... it will be cheaper and you are more likely to get some authentic stuff
