You didn't say WHY you want to be induced. Is it just because you are tired of waiting? (That's silly)
Do you think the baby is going to get much bigger? (It won't). Is it just that you want your doctor to do things your way? (The doctors really know best.)

The best doctors would not induce somebody unless they are way overdue and the baby is going through some stress. They usually run non-stress tests when babies are overdue, to make sure they are doing OK.

Inducing can cause complications, even in women who never had complications before. Each pregnancy is different. The doctor is looking at this from a totally different perspective than you are. And, remember, if he makes a decision like that and you end up in trouble, his practice and his reputation are at stake.

You're 36 weeks - if that date is firm, if you are induced, your baby could end up in Neonatal Intensive Care. At our hospital, 36 weeks is considered premature.
If your first two were actually 36 weeks and weighed that much, they should have worked you up for Gestational Diabetes. Since they didn't and they induced you twice at 36 weeks, their choices are questionable.
Again, if your dates are correct, you don't want to be induced. Have your OB do an ultrasound to get an estimated weight on the baby. If it is indeed large, then you can talk to him about delivery plans. If the baby isn't large, please realize that babies that early can have respiratory problems and feeding problems. You were VERY lucky with your first two.
Wishes for good health for you and your baby.

It is all up to the doctor. They really don't like to to induce women early because of complications. (Only if there is a prob with the baby) You just need to be patient. If the baby is big, then the doctor would do it, but if everything is fine, you need to enjoy it and let nature take it course.

if there is no reason to induce well im sorry to say he wont.the only time they induce is if you are having a big baby or for some other medical reason,so if you have none of that going on he wont.

Your doctor should do what he/she feels is best for the baby....I dont mean to offend you but his is why he/she is the Doctor and you are not.
