I've payed large sums of cash for records in the past but have never exceeded £100. My most expensive purchase was 'Catch A Fire' by The Wailers with the hinged Zippo lighter cover (it was in excellent condition and I simply had to have it in my collection). Also I've forked out large amounts on 'Electric Ladyland', a Moby Grape album and Zappa originals. So how much have you payed for that 'must have' disc and what was the album/single?

Back in the 80's when coloured vinyl was all the rage, I bought

Kenny Everett album (vomit picture)
Never Mind The Bollocks (picture disc)
Led Zeppelin IV (pink)
Sgt Pepper (picture disc)
Abbey Road (green)
White Album (white, of course)
Dark Side Of The Moon (white)
Dark Side Of The Moon (picture disc)

But the most I ever paid was for a master copy of Dark Side Of The Moon which was an import from Sweden that cost £250.

Then cd's were invented. Arrrgh

This was few years back. I payed $50 for a super rare U2 remix cd. I was only cd with U2 approved remixes done by the likes of Massive Attack, Depche Mode and DJ Shadow will all original artwork. The very nex week i found every single song on Napster (remember napster?). I was so pissed off i think i plucked out 8 strands of my hair in protest.
