Which government,

Remember WWW World Wide Web its not any governments jurisdiction, people have to have somewhere to go to get away from governments so my feeling is no one should regulate it from gambling to adult sights to message boards.

The internet is worldwide, hence the US government has absolutely no control over it. It is not under the jurisdiction of the US or any other country for that matter. The internet was made possile by telecommunication companies and engineers located all over the globe. The government has no way to regulate it. And thank God, they can't.

No way. The government is chosen by the people and the people have their own rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. By regulating public usage of something a government will be abolishing the pursuit of happiness, an unalienable right.

In some aspects yes and in others no. We don't want the government telling us what sites are viewable and which are not. At the same time if the government gets involved with the internet they help reduce the number of online scams and other illegal activities.

I think the government should build roads...and leave morality and free speech to be decided by legal adults.

Yes, the government should be watching the government for information that might pass across it-to a certain extent. No, they should not be able to look in files that have no risk or threat involved, but who are we to limit them from the government? We can see just as much as our government can.
