I know it sounds funny but the best way to clean keyboards is put them in the dishwasher. If you don't have a dishwasher just water and soap will do fine. Make sure the key board is well dry before you hook it back up. I dry mine for at least 48 hours before I plug it back in. Also if you have one of those sophisticated wireless keyboards make sure to take out the batteries before you clean it.

if you ever spill anything on your keyboard unplug it, flip it upside down and let it sit for 24-48 hours to let it dry. You may still ruen it because the soda is sticky and may make the keys stick. Don't use a blowdryer, use cuetips or papertowel to absorb what you can.
Additional water in the board will kill it. I've taken bad boards apart for fun (ones that have had spills). There is a thin plastic film with very thin wires on it. If they get wet they will erode and break causing shorts in the data transfer. When that happens your board is gone. You may get n o reaction form a key press or you'll get a diffrent number or letter.

You are probably too late, but you should immediately unplug the key board. The only way, I believe, to clean it, is to remove the bottom screws carefully and remove the bottom panel, then remove and turn over the main board, then lift up the top panel. turn the top panel where you can see its underside, check for any dirt here and clean it. with a dry cloth, wipe away any foreign liquids or objects from both main board and top panel. Using a(not wet)damp cloth, remove as much of the pop as possible. let dry completely, replace.

Believe it or not, the best thing to do would be to rinse it out with clean water, then shake all the water out of it that you can, and then put it in a warm dry place to dry. If you can put a fan by it to help the evaporation it would be best.
If you don't rinse the soda out of it, the sugar will make the keys sticky from now on.
OF COURSE, UNPLUG IT FIRST!

Bad news, it may already be ruined. If it is a laptop, then the whole things is hot.Once the liquid seeps in, it will make the computer stop working, sooner, or later.

Unplug it and wash it with water and soap, let it dry good and it should do the trick.
Someone is giving the thumbs down to people who say to do it with water and let it dry, unfair!!!!!
Why?
Because I myself am a technician,(electronics).
Water will damage things but if your fast and get the electricity of-unplug and/or batteries out and clean the internals and let it dry it will work again, better try than throw away now isn't it!!
So,to the one whose giving me thumbs down I wanna ask,Do you have experience with it,guess not.
