I've done the same thing. I do believe he has a sense of humor.

This questino reminds me of the movie “The Gods Must Be Crazy,” a native in the Kalahari Desert encounters technology for the first time--in the shape of a Coke bottle. I found this to be very amusing, but I also began to see parallels between his thought process, and that of the modern day Theist. Both are using CAVEMAN LOGIC to explain their world. I fail to see the difference between “hmm, bottle fall from sky, must be gods” and “hmm, trees and butterflies, SOMETHING appearing in my mind prove the existence of god.”
In both of these cases, someone is simply replacing one unknown for another unknown, but proving nothing!
Not only can God not be proven, but I will also go so far as to say that God can be disproved. It is impossible for something to be all knowing and all good. If you are aware that something bad is going to happen, and you allow it to happen anyway, then you cannot be all good. If God created everything, then he also created evil. It is also impossible to be all-powerful; can God create a rock that even he himself cannot move?
I would have thought that as man became more knowledgeable and logical that he would have pushed aside his caveman beliefs, but it seems to be just the opposite.

First, God is sovereign and He will conduct His affairs as He wishes. Second, perhaps you overlooked this, have you tried reading what He has already written? That would be a good place to start. My impression based on your question, leads me to believe that you would want some kind of extravagant event to occur. Wait long enough you will see something, but it won't be pleasant. Third, even if God did answer you I doubt it would change your position. God doesn't want us to believe by our senses, but by faith. Read Romans 1:16,17, the JUST man shall live by faith.

Could it be that you were just answering your own question because it was the last word that was in your mind? Or could it be God replying to you? Who knows for certain. Let me know when you find out.

LOL....I think we have all been there at some point.
I always say God has got to be hilarious. I mean seriously. Look at us. He places us in some weird predicaments. I always wonder as I go through certain things and Shh....sometimes I will say it out loud,"you reallllly think this is funny don't ya?" as I try to figure out what the heck to do. I think we are very entertaining to him.
Guess there's no need for Comedy Central where he is....

God defiantly has a sense of humor! We're created in his image and I have one. It's fun to think about how many times we probably crack him up.
