Far better than Lamar. The list of Lamar 'jokes/comments' he read off were spot on. Lamar wasn't particularly comedic. Just abrasive. Seen Amstell at the Edinburgh Festival and he is a geniunely funny guy. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

He was OK,came over as nicer than Lamar, didn't like all his "jokes" though am sure will get used to them/or turn over!

PS Did like Lamar's ability to be funny whilst genuinely not seeming to care what anyone else thought - genuine punk.

If they made it a proper quiz, with questions which had to be answered properly and had guests who were both fun but also articulate and knowledgable, it would be fine. It's deteriorated to the point of farce now.

have to admit he was really good. very natural and genuinely funny. this prog suits him much better than popworld.
must confess i was willing myself to dislike him but it was impossible. a tough job but the boy did good!
