I'm looking for a quality audition monologue 1 - 3 minutes long. Preferably from a show, ie: theater, play, movie, etc. (I don't like those made up monologue books for actors.) I am a youthful adult female, caucasion-anglosaxton, plays between the ages of 25 - 35 years old. Nothing racy or innappropriate please.

I think the following plays have some decent monologues for 30-ish women -

Crimes of the Heart
Father's Day
The Woolgatherer
Talley's Folly
Mrs. Dally has a Lover

You might have to piece some of them together - but that's perfectly acceptable.

http://www.whysanity.net/monos/female.html

This site has movie monologues, listed in alphabetical order. There is even a section for female monologues. In the misc. section, they have some monlogues from plays too. This site also has female monologues from plays:

Or you could just type monologues in yahoo and you will find plenty

Well, I'd say that the library would be a good place to start. Look up 'monolouges' in the catalog, and you are bound to come up with something! Weed throught the results and find something you like. Good luck on finding a good one!

I would say child. A lot of 15 year olds will try adult things and want to be adult, but in terms of maturity they are still child like.
