Night????????

Has anyone ever read the novel NIGHT? 'cuz we're going to read it in my English class, and I wanna know if ya liked it.

Keep in mind as you're reading it that "Night" is a true story--the author actually lived through the experiences he describes. The book is absolutely devastating; you won't believe the things that some human beings did to others. The book was difficult to read, because the story was so awful, but it's important for everyone to know what happened during the Holocaust to people who were about your age.

I enjoyed reading Night. If "enjoy" is the proper word to apply to reading any book about the Holocaust. I thought it was a good book. An important book. I have read widely in the field of Holocaust literature though. So I knew what to expect, and in some ways it is one of my favorite subjects to read about.

I did not enjoy reading Night, but that does not mean it was a bad book. On the contrary, it's an extremely powerful story, but since it is a first hand account of a Jewish child's experience of the Holocaust, it was incredibly painful to read.

I read it last month in English. I thought it was ok. I'm not really into all that WWII kind of stuff with the holocaust though. A lot of people in my class liked it, though manly the guys.
