i have a combi boiler and just underneath it is a box that says water etc and under that it says ch which is central heating push the little slider to 'on' and then find your dial, mine is in the living room but it could be anywhere, normally down stairs, try hallway etc and just turn it up a lil say to 18 and then feel your radiators in a lil while and see if its warm. but remember to turn it off at the switch later or it will get too hot.
it may say off-self explanitory
once-you set a time for heating to come on once at set times every 24hrs,ie you only want heating on before you get arm to take the chill off the house so set it for say 07.00-08.00
twice-same as above but you can set 2 different sets of times ie morning and evening
on or constant-it stays on til you turn it off
for the middle two settings you will need to refer to your guide book which should be somewhere near your boiler.
I hope this helps, ignore everyone who says nasty stuff, it was the 1st time i had a combi when buying this house.
if you have turned it on and in an hopur the radiators are still freezing check you have them turned on at the lil knob on the side of it
good luck

New boiler = instruction manual. Read that for a start. Then have a look at the program controls which is probably a separate unit, perhaps integrated with the thermostat. There's probably an on/off switch in that and it will have an instruction booklet too.
Wow! two instruction booklets in one weekend - lucky you!

On the temperature control box usually fitted on the wall. Make sure that the control valves on the radiators are open and the thermostat is not set at too low a temperature.

Open the radiator valves or ask plumber that installed it to give you a guided tour of your new installation
