High School Musical 2: Sing It All or Nothing! is the sequel to the hit Disney Channel Original Movie, High School Musical, and is due to be released in 2007.[1] The plot will revolve around the original film's characters as they organize a talent show at the local golf and country club to which Sharpay, Ryan, and their family belong and where Troy has a summer job as a lifeguard. All of the original film's cast members will return, and there will be new music and cheoreography by director Kenny Ortega. A soundtrack CD will be released the week before the film airs.
The movie will begin production immediately after Zac Efron finishes Hairspray.[2] As of October 2006, the film's release date and running time have not been confirmed.
A teaser trailer was released during The Cheetah Girls 2006 tour. The trailer showed scenes from the first film and the logo said High School Musical and a "2" appeared next to the word "Musical". The trailer was first made publically available on the DVD release of Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior and is available on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLsraScoaRs.

My daughter says that at the beginning of the first showing on the Disney channel, they said the second one would be released in 2007. Apparently cos the high school musical itself has yet to be screened there's plenty of scope for the sequel....

if one does it wont be as good as the first one (think grease 2) and it wont be untill all the stuff has died down about the first film.

yeah it is and luckily it's a the same people in the second one. it sucks when they change charaters for sequels
