Paul McCartney, as he played so many Beatles songs and it was thrilling to hear them live.

I also enjoyed Jose Feliciano, Ennio Morricone and Elmer Bernstein as they surprised me with music I didn't expect and loved.

It's impossible to say which was the best, but The Doors at the Commodore Ballroom in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1967 was definitely memorable. They opened with "When the Music's Over" from their second album "Strange Days", which was not out yet. It was incredible to hear for the first time, and live at that. Later they performed "Light My Fire" with "Horse Latitudes" as an intro - what an amazing lead-in to that song. It was in an old dance hall, which I don't think is there anymore. I was only 18 at the time.

REM concert at the Walter Brown Arena in August of 1985, before they were famous. The Three O'Clock opened up for them. Before the concert, Bill Berry was riding around on a bicycle. He stopped right in front of me. I turned and casually said "Hey Bill. Can you sign my card?" And he did!

I would have to say Radiohead at M.S.G in NYC. Why? Because I was in a VIP room over looking the stage and the crowd. Not to mention when they played ideotech I was freshly twisted and loved every moment of it.

Eagles, back in the mid seventies. It was just after On The Border came out. I think they were at their peak. The warm up was Kevin Cronin of REO, who was solo.
