My nephew drew on my leather car seat with pen. I tried leather cleaner to no avail. I hesitate to try it, but I took a little mineral spirit on a rag and wiped at it. It worked.

This really depends on what type of leather it is.

If it is on a pigmented leather then the first thing you should try is an ink stick. The fresher the ink the more chance you have of removing it. It is a good idea to have one in your house if you have a pale leather and children!!!!
You should also be using a good quality leather protector on a pale suite. This will act like a 'scotchgard' and will make any more mishaps easier to clean off.
If an ink stick doesn't work a solvent based remover will need to be used and it may also remove finish and pigment so is best left to the experts.

Hairspray sometimes works but can also make the matter far worse as it can spread the ink over a bigger area. Nail varnish remover or any other solvents will remove the finish and pigment which will need replacing.

Baby wipes are about the worst thing you can use on a leather sofa as they break down the finish and will eventually ruin your suite.

If the ink is on an aniline style, there is nothing that will remove it because the ink will have re-dyed the leather. It may dissipate over time with cleaning and protecting.

Old ink will be harder to remove than new ink and may mean resorting to solvents which will also remove the finish. This is probably best left to the experts.

Funny, I just posted the same question today. I stand by the Magic Eraser, but do not use it on your couch! It will discolor it! Baby wipes did not work, leather cleaner didn't work, and yes I even tried Clorox clean up wipes, didn't work and slight discoloration. I did try hairspray on it today and some minor marks came out. I have a full scribble! I did get another post saying to try rubbing alcohol, so that is my next step!

What you like are a vacuum, baking soda and a sparkling gentle towel. Sprinkle some baking soda on the stain and buff the ink out with the towel. once you notice the baking soda changing shade, vacuum up the soda and repeat till the stain is long previous. once you're finished with the stain ensure to recondition the area quite a few circumstances using fact the baking soda will pull the "moisture" out of the leather-based. i does no longer propose this if the stain is on a seam or sewing.

I'd try a leather polish, such as that used on shoes and quality handbags to see if that would take the pen marks off. If that doesn't work, I'd "Google" pen marks off leather.

Baby wipes are good for so many things and they are cheap too. If that doesn't work then you may need to try a leather cleaning product.

try hairspray - i use it to get pen marks out of just about everything. i would first try a spot that is "out of sight" to make sure it doesn't discolor the leather.
