A world of liars is something we all face. In the truth world that you and I love, stand by your word at all times. If the situation arises that you can't keep your word, explain it to the people it affects asap. If they are your friend, they'll understand. If they don't, they know you are truth-oriented, and walk away from you or become angry, ask yourself...are they worth having as friends if they act that way after the truth has been told?

I'm EXACTLY like you. I base my whole life on the truth. The truth of myself, the truth of other people, the truth of reality in general. Most people love to lie all the time and even create a life that is a lie to make themselves feel more secure. Most people learn to love the lie and hate the truth which is interesting and stupid, and most people won't even admit they do this. That would ofcourse reveal the lie they try so hard to cover.

To answer your question, You simply can't prove to people anything unless they want to believe it or are open to what you say. It really and seriously doesn't matter what you do. Most people are only open to what they WANT to hear, not what the truth is. Thats reality. I stopped trying to prove truths to people a long time ago. Once a person shows me they just want to believe what seem easy for them, and not hear facts, I stop taking them seriously.

By the way, a response to Paper who's a person below my message, I agree everyone lies but there are two kinds of lies. Positive lies and negative lies. Positive lies are the kind that helps people, like lying to save a life. Negative lies are the kinds that hurt people or yourself, both intensionally and non-intensionally. These are the kinds people frown upon. A lie isn't bad, a negative lie is bad.

First of all, never use the word "Honestly" when you're telling someone something. Most pathological liars use the word incessantly ----if you have to tell someone how honest you are -than you're not. But breathe easy. Everybody lies - everyday....the best you can do is try to minimize the lies you tell and keeping them to the white lies like "so and so can't come to the phone because they are not in the office". As far as being a person of your word -that's easy. Just keep your word. If you tell someone you're gonna do something, do it. Be reliable....reliable translates to trustworthy which translates into character and integrity and other nifty qualities.
