If you take a look at the benchmarks provided, even the E6600 model of the Core 2 Duo is regularly beating the FX62, even though it is nearly half the price.

The Intel core duo can currently handle more processes at one time, although to beat the FX62 the Intel core speed will have to be high. Bear in mind soon the quadro-core processors will be out in a little while from AMD and Intel, im betting AMD will have the best though.

core duo2 as it has more cache so therefore the processor can access all the programs and load windows quicker based on Intel core duo 2 with 2MB cache as the amid Fx only has 1MB of cash in the top ranges and the intelcore duo has the extreme with 4MB cache still not sure checkout toms hardware guide type this in google your answer will be re veiled if ya don't take my word for it

AMD, Intel have just ripped them off again for a 64bit processor.
