Pete Doherty

When a smelly disgusting dirty ugly junkie who looks like he should be staggering around a Tube station smacked out of his head asking people for their spare change can have his every move reported on by the press you know something is VERY wrong.

I'd also say any loser who gets famous from being on Big Brother.

Uh, confused here, all mentions so far do not seem to fit the 'idolized by masses' bit', idolized by some small groups here & there maybe,
but a lot of the names aren't even recognized by most !
If they were 'all that is wrong' their revenues wouldn't be that great so their celebrity would be short lived. Like Paris floats on an inheritance which will run out and G Bush will fade after leaving office, so REAL celebrities are the ones with something real in talent that keeps the public buying tickets.

Sir Bob Geldof, an untalented guy who goes round the world telling people to help the poor but don't bother to put their own personal wealth where their mouth is. Worse still, look at the last Band Aid (2) which was to support African countries by having expensive paid up concerts with no African artists? Why not set up foundations like Santana did that actually have some purpose and reach at least a few but in a meaningful way?

Anybody who was on a reality TV show. Paris(dirty ****) Hilton, Victim...I mean Victoria Beckham, Wayne Rooneys gal, what's her name Collleen. Sports figures who open their mouths and talk about anything other than their respective sport, Angelina Jolie, Kate (cokehead)Moss, Pete(junkie idiot) Doherty, Jordan, Naomi Cambell, I'm noticing a pattern here, I'm sure there must be some more men too, but I think famous women have to justify their existence more and therefore need to be noticed more, and therefore do more stupid things in the media. Kind of like North Korea...Look at me, look at me, pay attention to me.

Pathetic.

You can shut this question down after my answer. (LOL)

Paris Hilton. WTF??? Why is she famous? What has she done? Cant sing, cant act, and all of her notority makes her more famous by the day. Dimly lit sex tape. Wild partying--really who gives a flip? . And she was already rich and famous, by her birthright. TV loves her, tabloids love her, people can't stand her but they cant get enough. She needs to take some college classes or something and gain some depth as a person; she comes off totally 1 dimentional to me. That chick puts the LOW in shallow.

Sure sounds like you are talking about Madonna.

Last time I checked a few minutes ago, GWB is responsible for ZERO attacks on the US by terrorists in the 5 years since 9/11.

Victoria Beckham. Maintains her fame purely because of her husbands fame. Is a really bad role model for young girls. Far too skinny, She is a has been that needs to take a back seat and accept that she is no longer famous.
