Diabetes is one reason. Also go to a doctor and make sure you don't have any pelvic masses that are pushing on to the bladder to. Pelvic masses (usually) will create heavy bleeding.

Diabetes of both types.
Diab. Mellitus from high blood sugars and
Diab. Insipidus from low ADH levels.
Also, diuretic medications , lasix, hctz, spironolactone etc.
Caffeine from tea, coffee, sodas.
Cold exposure.

Too many sodas, or just drinking alot of fluids. Tea and coffee are diuretics and can cause it too.
