This is all going to come down to experiments in quantum theory. Like the double slit experiment. It is going to come down to what people 'observe'. It will transcend space and time.
Thats the entire show. What they will do in season three depends on how little they want to answer.

I was hoping I'd find the answer someplace here. I fell in love with the show in the beginning but was disappointed with last season. It seemed like all they did was keep showing the old stuff in the beginning of each episode.
I haven't really watched it this season because we watch the other channels now. I did see it this past Wed. and just don't like it much anymore. Sorry to all you "fans", I just think it started off terrific and it just "lost" me along the way.

SKY out bitting Channal4 Sucks. united kingdom i've got seen the 1st ep of season 3 on "you tube" and all i will say is you hit upon out the place the Polar bear got here from! yet how recommend seasons are there gonna be?

Only the writers know that, even the cast only get their scripts weeks before each episode. You can never predict what will happen with Lost, that's what makes it so good to watch! HTH : )
