I have this very intense sexual and intimate attraction with this guy who is a little younger then me(He's legal and I have never liked guys my age or younger, I'm 20 by the way). Me and my boyfriend are expecting in the summer but we have had problems from the start. I love him but he doesn't give me the attention and his maturity is very low to be 27.

Anywayz, I don't understand why I'm having these feelings, I really want this to work. What do you think is going on? Do you think it's my pregnancy hormones?

Kizzy - If I understand right, you have two problems here. One is your attraction to a younger man (though legal). Hormones are no doubt a part of what is going on, but also it could be that he is treating you kindly and as if you are a special person.

Second, the father of you child is older, but he is not meeting your need for love and attention during this time that is difficult for you.

Understandably you have probably left out some details, but it boils down to, what is your motivation? If you just have sexual feelings towards the younger guy, and do not act on them, there is nothing wrong with having the feelings. If you are, even without consciously realizing it, doing this in order to get attention from your boyfriend, you need to really think about the consequences involved...to you and to your unborn child. Yeah, this kind of thing happens...it does not make you a bad person, just human.

Try to open some new forms of communication with your boyfriend. Find out if he may be having some self-doubts about being a good father, or the commitment to a long term relationship with you. Leave "younger" out of it and just tuck him away in the "friend" category for now. After the baby comes, you may see things a lot differently.

Give your present relationship another chance. The grass always appears to be greener on the other side.

Your child deserves you to give him/her the opportunity to know their real father. Plus, you should give the real father the opportunity to know his child.

Chalk it up to hormones and hang in there if you can.

I think it's the pregnancy hormones, your boyfriend has probably always been immature but now that you're pregnant, you're getting easily agitated.
