Are you talking about moving out of your home? How old are you? Where else would you stay, and how would you support yourself? I know that couples in Missouri can marry at a very young age, without parental consent, but I'm not sure what is considered the age of emancipation (or being on your own) would be. You need to ask a qualified adult who is a resident of your state. You may even need an attorney to determine if your reason for wanting to move warrants legal intervention.

Technically, he can move out at any time if the parents allow it. A minor can become emancipated at 16, but you have to show a reason why they should be emancipated. If he has a decent home, the courts may not allow it.

The basic answer to your question is 16, but there is more to it than that. Just walk down to the courthouse and ask them.
