I f i double click it from my desktop it works fine, but from my site link if doesnt work

the asx file is in the same place as the html source.

i am puzzled, can anyone help ?

OK I am not sure I completely understood your problem but I can try and help. If I understood right you have an ASX file that you can only open locally on your machine but not from the Internet. There are couple of things to watch for here. first you need to make sure that Default.asx is one of the files IIS supports on your website. Second you need to make sure that ASP is registered with your IIS search on that subject in MSDN see link:

Last you need to make sure that ASP is enabled in your IIS and another thing that might do the trick is add the ASP user to the users on that folder.

.asx files cannot be opened without an internet connection - it's only a tiny bit of code that tells Windows Media Player what url to locate and the file streams from the site via the player. Then it evaporates - that is, it is not downloaded to your computer and is not savable.
