I have lived in Florida, and Washington state, and have travelled extensively throughout the US and the rest of the world. The US does have some great food and restaurant's, unfortunately these are very few and far between - and way to expensive. Mostly the food in the US is plastic crap, I found it very hard to find nice food from fresh and "real" produce that actually has some flavour (notice this is the correct spelling of flavour), rather than fat and suger loaded styrofoam. I don't know how you guys put up with it.

There is a place here in Southern California called Tacone and they serve some awesome chicken wraps. There's also Submarina, who makes better sandwiches than Subway.

hi grumpy, here in so cal, we have a family chain of fast food hamburgers, its called in and out! it started back in the 50s, had driveins....they never sold franchises and now have over 200 locales... from a rolls royce to a old pinto... meaning all types eat there, good luck

California Beef Noodle King. It serves a nice hot and rich noodle soup. The name is weird because you can find it in the northern part of China.

Gulfcoast Florida. Used to have a "Backyard Burger" nearby. They made the absolute greatest burgers I ever had but sadly, they closed. Burger fanatic here.
