Depending on the situation and the person you're telling to

If he/she is a strong person, I'd preffer telling him directly with no introductions....But sometimes he/she can be strong, but the situation is even much stronger...get my point?

It is never wrong to attempt to save the feelings of a good person. Soften it but be succinct and don't undermine yourself by telling a partial truth. How far you go depends on the truth and the person you are telling. If you know a friend who is being cheated on by their significant other, for instance, be nice but be definite. On the other hand, if you think someone is dressing too wantonly or something along those lines, soften it a lot.

In other words, my opinion is that if it's important enough to hurt someone over, it should be very, very, very important or you should be silent.

I think you should tell the truth but the delivery does not need to be harsh. You can tell the truth in a gentle way while still saying everything you need to and getting the entire point across. Just say it so the person doesnt feel like theyre being attacked and try to help them with solutions if possible.

Depends on the person. Some can handle and would expect no less than the brutal truth. But, with most people, I temper the truth with compassion and soften the hard edges.

I would probably try to soften it up unless the person had been told a hundred times already.

It depends. The truth for semi important things, "Hey Johnson, you got a "C" on the midterms" can be doled out without a thought, such as "You, an "F".
However, when its truly important like "your preg test came out positive or the police called, your ___ was in an accident", you really really have to put yourself in thier shoes and be gentle, handle with care. This is where empathy come in, and your innate kindness.

You can tell the truth but be careful if you do walk softly! If you are too harsh then your words will come back to live in your own life!

I would tell the truth because many people in my life do the same to me always pointing out my flaws and truths making me feel bad so why should I save them the heartache as well!!!
