yes it hurts and all but studies have shown that its more about what people perceive to be pain. and in our culture we think labor and child birth is the most horribly painful thing there is...so most women experience that and are fear full and waiting for that...so it happens. the fear pain response makes pain worst. so instead of telling women its horrible and unbearable we really should say yes it hurts, but yes you can get through it. its nothing to fear its nothing to worry about its normal. and for some women it really isn't that painful...ever read about the people that were unaware of being pregnant and pop out a baby in a grocery isle or a bus or a bathroom stall?...clearly these women never had the chance to worry about pain and their babies came rather quick and easy with less pain than many other women....just a thought...a diffrent perspective...

If you had ever seen a woman in labor, you would already know that the answer is yes. How would it feel to you to have your insides ripped out. It is about the same.

Well its more like a lot of pressure down there and in your butt. It kind of feels like your taking a big sh** except its in the other area. But a LOT a LOT of pressure and you scream because you are trying hard to push the baby down. The only part that actually hurts is when the vagina opens because of the head coming out. That BURNS!!!

depends on the position of the baby, etc. My first, back labor, not so bad. My second-OOOWWWWWW. My third, NO pain, and no drugs. Everytime is different.

Have someone punch you in your back or lower stomach for about 24 hours. And have them start it out slowly then hit harder and then start getting softer. That is pretty much what it is like.
