When you're in that much pain, that's the last thing on your mind sweetheart.

I thought I would be embarassed and I was dreading it. Women ahd told me these stories about women doing a number 2 because of all the pushing. I was horrified! But when the time came and I was in labour, I was in so much pain I didn't even think about it. Even if you go with the epidural and dont feel the pain, just remember that they've seen it a million times before and it's the most natural thing in the world.

I cant say that I was, I was really nervous about this too , it was my 1st....Everyone was so nice! and you are in pain or on drugs so mostly you dont care, I did make sure my husband stayed at my head though! I did care about that!

I was so scared because my do 9 a woman) wasnt on call 2 days after christmas, and I had a male doctor, I was upset at first but after my drugs kicked in, I was perfectly fine, I dont even remember what he looked like, it was mostly the nurse in there when I was pushing, he only came in like with my last 3 pushes, when they knew he was really coming out! This really shocked me, the things you arent told about huh?

Good Luck!

By the time you actually hit the delivery room every person in the hospital...including the janitor I swear...had been checking your dilation. You have no shame. My baby was in distress so they had me on all fours in the highly stylish hospital gown, no underwear with my butt facing the door...so now every person who came in saw everything God gave me...including anyone just walking down the hall.
Trust me you are just happy to have the kid out of you and ok...you forget all about any embarrasment.

Not at all. You are going to sot there and worry about that when you are in so much pain. Your main focus us the baby. Plus, you go to the doctor prior to that for about 9 months, the doctor knows your body. The doctor see's so many a month, they really don't care.

That was the last thing on my mind. The embarrassing part came later, after the birth, when the nurse had to insert suppositories into my anus. I was horrified!

lol..tink's answer made me laugh...I am about to give birth for the first time and I still feel a little ackward about it. The first few doc. visits when they started checking me for dilation were weird but Im getting used to it. I will probably be to out of it to care..lol.

Nope. You actually could care less at that point. The 1st few Dr appts are a bit intrusive but you get used to it.

I was kind of embarrassed. I told my boyfriend to stay by my head and he did but got couple of sneak peak looks, but when the baby was coming out I wanted him to look to tell me what was it looked like when the baby was coming out. but this time I think I am going to limit the amount of people (relatives) that comes in. Last time my mom, sister,my dad, his mom, and his sister was there while I was in labor, but only him was there when the baby made his arrival.

Come on! You are giving birth to your child. If you don't feel comfortable having people see the birth, then don't have them in the room. It is natural and beautiful. Don't make it sound all dirty.
