This one guy that my brother works with says he's "sweefin'" the floor and this month he calls "Optober". He calls Ramen noodles "Roman numerals".
My co-worker can not say defecate, she keeps saying decaffinate (I swear this is true).
So what is some funny stuff you'd heard people mispronounce.

My mom calls salsa "sasa." She claims the "L" is silent. Wolves are "woofs," too.
When my sis was little, she called her bathing suit a "baby suit" and her suit case was a "soup case." She'd put her baby suit in her soup case. Still makes me laugh a little.

My uncle had an interview for a corrections officer when he was 24. Right before he went into the interview he got really nervous, and his friend told him not to say anything wrong. He was thinking so hard about not messing up, that he kept calling the people who were interviewing him "Ocifer" instead of "Officer" haha...yeah...he didn't get the job...

A co-worker kept telling me how she went to the Rendezvous chat room. She would tell me about this every day and she kept saying "ren - dezz - vus" not the correct French way to say it. (ron-day-vu)
I never told her she was saying it wrong. Someone must have because now she never mentions it.

My ex-boyfriend called me to ask if our son had any doctor's appts. in the next few weeks, when i asked why he said he lost his health insurance. I asked him how that happened and he told me he got "determinated". I dropped the phone laughing. Needless to say i think he'll never forget the right way to say that again.

Working in a hospital, I hear an awful lot of mispronunciations but the one that makes my teeth grate is:
Radiology. When they say it like....Radio - ology, with a long 'o' on the third syllable. That one makes me cringe.
