well i wanted to know what you guys think is a good score for the new sat the higest is 2400 i got a 1550 my fren got a 1350 and my best friend got a 950

A "good" score, like others said, is a very subjective label. Here is a decent way to figure out how close you are to your goals:
Make a list of your top 5 school choices.
Search their website, or call the admissions office, and find out what the median SAT score was for those accepted this year.
The farther you are above the median, the better your chances of being admitted!
The ACTs are always a great option if the SATs didn't go so well. Check out a free practice test at your local Kaplan center so you'll know which test is nicer to you.

Well it depends where you want to go. If you want to go to a high ranked university like Harvard, then those scores are not near high enough. If you want to go to a state school, then I would say your score is perfectly fine but your friends should work on improving it a bit. The average score for the new SATs is a 1520 so you should be happy. You're above average :)

If you want academic scholarships, you need about 2000. I think you all should take it again or take teh ACT.
