Well having a biased oppinion i would say Ballack, but everyone has a different opinion.

Gerrard is very consistent, can score, defend and all other types of things.

Fabregas, is a young, but very talented player, good speed, but could be better with time.

Ballack, my personal favorite, will probably be one of the best German players ever later on in his career, like Gerrard, can score, defend , and score penalties.

Schole, old but still good, umm maybe 7-8 years ago, would have actually been a candidate in this contest,

Winner: Gerrard
Runner up: Ballack

Scholes by far. He's fit and he's back to the Paul Scholes of old. With no clear goal scorer on any team right now the golden boot is way up for grabs. If Scholed either isn't the winner this season or very near the top I will be very surprised.

the fact that u r comparing cesc with these experienced players shows the level to which he has risen (nobody has achieved that at this age).. i wouldn't call him THE BEST rite now.. coz that's reserved from next season onwards.. but i can definitely say that he is waaaaay better than ballack.. scholes is a little better than him but next season, cesc wud outdo him by miles but stevie is much better.. he is a generally very inspiring leader so its unfair to stevie but mark my words cesc will be much better than stevie in 2-3 yrs or so nd still he'd be 21-22.. he looks set to take up captaincy after thierry or maybe after kolo so that's a hell lot of good future waiting for him..nd 8 more yrs of him at arsenal.. he can only get better.. nobody's complaining..

Fabregas! He's good in defence, has wider vision on the pitch (that's why he is the unsung "man of the match" each and every game), is never intimidated with his opponent (remember: vs. juventus, he made vieira looked like a fool!), and remember he's only 19!

scholes and gerrard. They are the two that I would most like to play along side.

I dont like Liverpool or Man Utd, they are just two exceptional players.
