DO NOT PURCHASE any anti-malware software through a pop up. You have previously downloaded something (free screen saver, cursors, smileys or some other garbage) that has loaded this warning. Go to this website and read first then post and somebody will help you.
http://malwareremoval.com/
It is a volunteer site and may take a day or two to get it fully cleaned, but they can and will help you get clean.

Norton is not a reliable Security software solution, regardless of how well known it is. It only updates its virus and other malware signitures on a monthly schedule and often it fails to update via the Live Update feature. If you have not paid for the service however and any trial period is over with, it is no longer updating at all as you have to have a paid subscription to keep getting the updates. A Security Suite is only as good as it virus and other malware signitures (the files used to combat known malware and viruses).
You can download and run the Microsoft Malicious software Removal Tool, accessed at the microsoft webiste security center. http://www.microsoft.com/security or at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads
You can also run a safety scan put out by micorosoft called the Live Safety Scan at:
http://safety.live.come/site
Run the scan first, (don't use the registry scan or cleaning tool, as it sometimes does remove vital and viable Registry Keys, so only experianced users should use this tool) and then follow the instructions as the malicious software removal tool may be part of the instructions.
I use Panda Security Suite 2007, use the 2005 and 2006 versions too, and have never had a single virus or other malware. I had a huge killer virus while using Norton and it fried a brand new five week old computer. So, I strongly reccomend Panda Platinum as a viable source of Security. It has everything you could wish for is a security suite and then some. It has a hueristic scan which scans for unknown threats and malware and will handle these unknowns before a signiture is out for them. It also updates its signatures daily, not weekly or monthly as McAfee and Norton in that order.
There are security solutions you can use which are free, but you have to get them from different sources as they do not have a full security suite which is free. The AVG Anti-Virus is good, the Microsoft Windows Defender spyware and vulnerability suite is good, and spybot search and destroy is good, webroot is for a small price and is good, and there are other free solutions. Remember to install a good firewall to keep out intruders and trojans too.
Now, you can only have one firewall and one anti-virus at a time, but you can have multiple spyware and spam/popup blocker software programs, Also, regardless of what these security suites wish to tell you, you HAVE to use a special tool to fully remove both firewalls and anti-virus software. The add/remove program just will not do the job and then you will have these programs left on your system to cause havoc when you install a different brand or vendor's product. The reason is not mysterious at all, it is just that in order to carry out security these programs HAVE to embed deeply into the OS in order to work and be effective. Due to this deep embedding, it is important to use the vendor's special removal tools to get them off a system. You will have to either search the vendors site of call up the tech department or use the online chat if the vendor has one (McAfee does) and the tech will send you a link to download from either from the chat box or via e-mail. You just have to be sure of the version in order to get the right removal tool. You also have to tell them you need a full and complete removal not a partial removal or you may find you get this tool for the intention of a re-installation of the product after a needed removal. There are many reasons why one would need to temporarily remove a security suite and then install it again. In order to make this easy vendors will give a partial removal tool which leaves some of the program files on the system. In any case a full removal is needed, even if you are going to install the product again. Don't allow the vendor to talk you into a partial removal, it is going to muck up your system. In the event a removal is needed, and then you re-install over the portians left behind, it risks doubling up on files and registry keys and causes nothing but headaches. As first you just don't know why your system is having problems.
I removed a pre-installed McAfee Security Suite 2007 from a computer system I recently purchased (it came bundled and they just refused to not install it!!) and I then installed my Panda Security Suite and began having all sorts of problems. As I had used the special removal tool I thought the McAfee was long gone, and was I ever shocked when Panda tech instructed me to look in a section of my Registry and there sat the firewall entry! I had to go and get a second tool to get it off my system.
So, now you know a lot of information which should get you off to a good start in fixing the infestation on your system. Please consider removing Norton by using the special removal tool, the full removal tool, and then choose something more reliable when you get this problem fixed. A sound Security Suite is a life saver for a system. With all of the threats out in todays world a security suite is a must have investement.
Good luck and have a great day, I hope you get your system cleaned up fast.
