I would say the lack of a period is a pretty good indicator... Go to the grocery store or nearest drug store and pick up a home pregnancy test and find out for sure! If it's negative then you need to see a Dr. right away as you could be suffering from some unknown ailment!

I would just go the drug store and buy a couple pregnancy tests. They are painless, you just pee on them, and you'll know if you're knocked up or not. Then you can make a logical decision from there. I mean, if you thought you had cancer, you wouldn't sit around and wait to see if you die or not, you would go to the doctor and find out by taking a medical test. The same goes for finding out if you're pregnant.
I don't understand why the dermo would administer a pregnancy test to you...don't they just treat zits and rashes? Anyway, I would go take the test.

Take another test. They are 99.99% accurate so although it is just possible the first test gave an inaccurate reading (especially if it were too soon), there is almost no chance two tests would be wrong. So if you do a second test and it is also negative, you'll need to find another reason for feeling the way you do.

The dermatologist (skin doctor!!) is not the one to give you the best info. Check into a Planned Parenthood or an OB/GYN for the definitive answer. A pregnancy test from the drugstore might also give you the first clue, but definitely get yourself checked out!!!
Good luck!!!!

I would definitely take another test. There is no "sure" way to tell if you are pregnant without a test. If this test is negative, you should really think about going and seeing a doc. If you aren't pregnant, you could have some crazy hormonal issues that should be addressed.

The over-the-counter pregnancy tests always gave the correct results for us. An ultrasound will tell you, but that's a bit pricey.

Dermatologist??? Why would a skin doctor give you a pregnancy test? If it's a blood test, I can't see it being inaccurate. A urine test, however, can give false negatives and positives.

Go see an OB/GYN. Even a Family practitioner is better than who you saw. Heck, Even a home pregnancy test is better.
