You did the right thing. Yahoo have a security feature when, if your pc is trying to send out stuff like that, you'll get a page saying 'error 999' when you try to log in to your e-mail.
If there was a worm on your pc it would be unusable. The worm would multiply until it had filled your hard drive. It would gradually slow down and finally seize up. A woem doubles with every key press so you have one, then 4, then 8 and so on. Thats how they work.
Just make sure you have a firewall, an anti virus, and some anti spyware on your pc and update and run them every week.

he Windows firewall doesn't stop malware on your pc from dialling out. Zone Alarm firewall is free for personal use and stops unwanted incoming and outgoing traffic. You choose which programs are allowed to access the internet. It's fairly easy to use and updated regularly.

Instal both these web browsers, turn off javascript on one and use that browser for vising unknown websites. They don't support Active X so thats one less way for problems to get on your pc.

No i did not get this digital mail and it really is surly a primitive way from an newbie Hacker to have your password. be conscious that yahoo (as an digital mail service) is dedicated by technique of regulation to save and save all the consumers files (notwithstanding it really is ideal or not ) and reduce back it up. From yet another hand each and each and every time we log in yahoo, we deliver ( by the log type ) to yahoo files base our PW and digital mail address which captured and compared with the guidance which yahoo has and fewer than his administration. If for notwithstanding reason yahoo has lost this information (your digital mail and password), you is in basic terms unable to log in P&S and submit this question :-) Be save
