Last year I saw on the Martha Stewart show how they made a witches costume from black garbage bags and duct tape.
you need the drawstring bags. one they cut a slit in the area under the drawstrings so it was a bit longer and they cut ,in a zig zag, the bottom part of the bag off, that part is used for another part of the costume.
this one is for the top half of the costume. It is put on like a tube top with the drawstrings as the shoulder straps. pull and tie to fit.
don't worry about the strings coz they get covered later.
then another bag is cut to be the skirt, zig zag like the first and that is tied around the waist. Duct tape as much as needed to keep the top and bottom together.
they also cut a third bag in half to be the sleeves...they used duct tape to hold things in place. Just tape the sleves to the top.
the cut off parts are used to make the cape and they pulled on the zig zag points to stretch them.(also did on skirt)
It was pretty cool and waterproof but you may need scissors to cut the costume off when done.
I hope I explained enough for you to figure out how to do it.
a half dozen bags and tape are cheap especially if you already have them around
where you cut the zig zag depends on your size.
the sleeves bag is cut down the sides so one half the drawstring can be each sleve gather at the neck...
cut and fit the dress to size.
just add a hat and your good to go.

Well I'm having the same problem I'm 12 too and I don't know what to be this year! I can tell you some of the things my friends are being though and maybe that will help...
Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, and Captain Hook
Spice Girls
Bumblebees
3 Blind Mice
These are some cute group costumes so maybe you and your friends can dress up together. Hope this helps! :)

right here is a few suggestions: bo-peep a fairy a marionette doll (with the pink circle cheeks, curled hair, a flouncy dress, vivid eyelashes and strings linked of course) a facebook/myspace internet site (use cardboard) somebody from a undeniable term 50s,60s,70s,80s(very exciting!) or from medieval/rennaissance in many cases standard fictional charachter or a fairytale character-Rapunzel, and so on. This one is quite cheesy yet one among you will be able to desire to string small ceral packing boxes on a chew of rope then stick forks via the packing boxes and placed on it around your neck (as a result THE CEREAL Killer)get it?? Yeah that one could be to "gay" for you (through fact 13yr olds who do matching costumes are) yet its in easy terms a guideline.

Well, i don't know if 12 year olds watch Hocus Pocus (I did at your age, and still do). If it is a Halloween movie you and your friends watch, you could go as the the three witches:Winnie (the boss), Sarah (flirty and ditsy) and Mary (funny).
happy Halloween!

When I was in high school, my friends and I went as the reject dwarfs... not your usual dwarfs, we made up new ones (dorky dwarf, druggy dwarf, etc) so that we werent limited to having seven people.
