yes, take them as long as you are still breastfeeding. you can take the over-the-counter ones, I do. the only difference is that they don't have enough calcium or folic acid. you will probably have to take separate supplements for those.

Prenatals are good to take even when not preg bcuz it has everything U need in that vitamin, Nature Made Multi Prenatal Vitamins are high in folic acid and zinc and they are over the counter, I took them b4 I got preg, thru my whole preg and for 13 mos of breastfeeding with my first baby and this time with this preg I will do the same, even while breastfeeding

YES, keep taking prenatals until you are done breastfeeding. You need them to keep your body strong. GNC has good over the counter prenatals with lots of folic acid and iron. You might also like to add some calcium to the mix (breastfeeding takes a toll on your body), and some omegas (fish oil-which are great for baby brain development.)

Yup, until you stop nursing. The over-the-counter vitamins are just as good (some better, depending on the brand)...and you don't necessarilly need to take prenatals anymore, just a multi.

It's recommended to continue taking the pre-natal vitamins while you are breastfeeding. The vitamins don't have to be from a prescription, you can get ones called Materna (made by Centrum) at the pharmacy.

Hello,

You know what? I would take them whether you are pregnant or not. I love the prenatal vitamins because they have so many good things your body needs anyway.

I still take them today and I purchase them at Walmart. They are by Spring Valley Prenatal. Here is the link below:

Hope this helps you............................... :-)

Take them as long as you are nursing. Get the generic brand, they are the same and just as good.
